Obituary of Joe Stephens Tucker, Sr.

Joe Stephens “Steve” Tucker, Sr., 81, husband of Betty Ann Weathers Tucker for 62 years, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 5th, 2020. Mr. Tucker was born in Laurens County to the late Howard and Rosa Tucker. He retired from Michelin and was an active member of Knighton Chapel Wesleyan church. In his early years he enjoyed playing softball and playing golf. Fishing was Steve’s passion and he was a founding member of the Fountain Inn Bassmasters. Steve loved his family, and was an especially proud Papa. Surviving, in addition to his wife are his son, Joey S. Tucker, Jr. (fiancé, Debra Scott) daughter, Lisa Hoffman (Brian); sister, Camilla Richards (Tom); three grandchildren, Jacob Hoffman (Erin), Rev. Trevor Hoffman (Emily), and Brianna Temples (Dillion); six, great-grandchildren, Cole, Jude, Kipton, Nate, Haley and Ruthie; and a special niece, Rosa Little (Ronnie). He was pre-deceased by three brothers, Billy Tucker, Hugh Tucker and Herbert Tucker. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Knighton Chapel Wesleyan church cemetery, officiated by Rev.
