Obituary of Margaret Elizabeth Paxton

Margaret Elizabeth Andrews Paxton, 76, widow of John Henry Paxton, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 27th, 2020. Mrs. Paxton was born in Greenville to the late Elco Thomas Andrews and Florence Margaree Garner Andrews. She was a member of Simpsonville Church of God, where she faithfully served on the church prayer chain. Margaret loved to travel and one of her favorite places to visit was the mountains. Surviving is a daughter, Pam Wiaczek and husband Marty; a sister, Mary Buie and husband David; and a grandson, Marty Wiaczek, Jr. She was predeceased by a son, Robby Paxton; four brothers, Jimmy Garner, Pete Andrews, Charles Andrews and Sammy Andrews; and a sister, Debra Alexander. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Simpsonville Church of God, officiated by Rev. Delton Hand. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Graceland West Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Simpsonville Church of God, P.O Box 427, Simpsonville, SC 29681. It is requested that attendee’s wear masks for the visitation and service.
