Toby Dewayne Thackston, 48, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 5, 2020.
Mr. Thackston was born in Greenville to Tony Francis Thackston and Sheron Dianne Thompson Fraylick. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Toby enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson and listening to classical Rock & Roll music. He was a NASCAR fan and loved fast sports cars. Toby had a great laugh and gave countless energy and time to helping family and friends. He was known for giving awesome Christmas gifts. His personal interests included playing pool and amassing elephant and wolf collectables.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are two sons, Tyler Thackston and wife Breeanne, and Noah Thackston; two sisters, Kelly Santora and husband Jay, and Christy Hickey and husband Shawn; two granddaughters, Emma Thackston and Holly Thackston; and a maternal grandmother, Dot Thompson.
A Celebration of Toby’s Life will be 2pm Friday at Fletcher Funeral Service, officiated by John Dukes. Visitation will begin one hour prior.
