Obituary of James Leroy Boswell

James Leroy Boswell, 90, husband of his loving wife, Delfina T. Boswell of 60 years, went to meet his heavenly father, November 30, 2016.
Mr. James was born in Greenville to the late Rufus Shirley and Alta Barnett Boswell. He was a loving and dedicated family man who also enjoyed the outdoors, music and his church family. James was a retired Navy veteran of WWII, the Korean War and Vietnam with 24 years of honorable service. He was also a truck driver for 20 plus years and retired from Monsanto. J.L will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his children, Doris Altamirano, Gerold, James, John, Charles, Kevin and Patrick Boswell; a brother Charles Boswell; 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Bessie Road Baptist Church from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Sunday December 4, 2016 with funeral services following. Burial will be at Grove Station Baptist Church Cemetery.
