Obituary of Frances Sargent

Frances Florence McKee Sargent, 95, widow of James Edward Sargent, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 22, 2021. Mrs. Sargent was born in Easley to the late Joseph Archie McKee and Mable Florence Brooks McKee. She retired from Kemet Electronics and was a member of Simpsonville Church of God. She was a seamstress by hobby and quilted, crocheted, and tatted. Frances enjoyed baking cakes, reading and studying her bible. She was a collector of dolls and coffee cups. Surviving are four sons, Don Sargent and wife Rhonda, David Sargent and wife Jan, Roger Sargent, and Phillip Sargent and wife Betty; three brothers, Winslow McKee and wife Martha, Roy McKee and wife Joann, and Randall McKee; two sisters, Martha Long and Barbara Oates; ten grandchildren, Andrea Smith and husband Marcus, James Sargent and wife Tara, Vanessa Arrowood and husband Josh, Katie Voyles and husband Nick, David Sargent and wife Ashley, Kelly Sargent, Roger Sargent and wife Thania, Jenna Crumpton and husband Ryan, Alicia Rogers and husband Greg, and Carrie Martin; and seventeen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Simpsonville Church of God. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service.
