I met Kat on the Chatters trip.. walked up o her and flipped my name tag over. "Millie!!" She called out my chat name with smile that melted my heart. I brought a white eek. board for her to use during the trip. She was so Loved that 8 markers where finished by the end of the week. I'm really going to miss her.

I never met Kat in person. I knew her from her profound presence in AAP. We never exchanged direct messages but our paths crossed in many comments over the past years to Posts in our group...I was fortunate thru Posts to become familiar with Kat's family, her challenges, her triumps, her endearing love for AAP Staff and animals..her love of all animals, conservation...her always thinking outside the box for ideas to organize our group effort to show our love and support to AAP....her light heartedness and her "CAKE"...so very, very much to celebrate, to remember with fondness... Kat was such a bright spark in our lives! She was a champion of our beloved April the Giraffe and drew us together to rally for all AAPs needs for the care of these animals. This is Kat’s Fun-d Raiser Award from Animal Adventure Park that she was very proud of. She worked tirelessly to raise funds for animal conservation and Animal Adventure Park. She put many, many hours into numerous auctions to help raise the funds. She got pretty creative and we always looked forward to what awesome thing she was going to come up with next that we could bid on. A lot of us still have the many things she created or had someone create for her.

I used to love to watch The Walking Dead with Kat every week on TV over Messenger - 19 hours away from each other! We would get all set up with snacks and everything and comment on all of the scary and gorey parts. We would get laughing so hard at some things. Sometimes we would get lost and Matt had to explain to us what was going on! It was like she was sitting right next to me. I will miss that, but also cherish that as a happy memory.

I never met Kat. But she was a huge supporter of Aniaml Adventure Park & a founding member of our Chatters group, & sevral others. She worked tirelessly to raise funds for our beautiful giraffes. I chatted with her many many times & it was as if I knew her. She was so kind & always there to help if we needed it. I was devastated hearing the news of her passing & I want this family to know that there were 1000's upon 1000's that prayed for her. We are all grieving. We will always miss her. Kat was an inspiration to hundreds of members of the global Giraffe community, a tireless fundraiser for giraffe conservation causes and her beloved Animal Adventure Park, a wonderful moderator on social media sites, and an amazing friend. I, too, met Kat at Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville,NY. She was such an upbeat, happy person, even though she had many physical problems. I met Kat through Animal Adventure Park and met her in person at the Chatters trip in 2018. She was one of the kindest, loving, creative and helpful people I have ever met.

Although no words can erase the pain of not only losing Kat but also Wayne, we send our thought and prayers for the family's comfort at this time.
We knew Kat from the AAP Chatters event at Animal Adventure Park and found that she was the kindest and hardest working person who gave her time and efforts for the park's fundraising.
Although Kat could not hear in her life on earth, she now knows the beautiful sounds as she's entered a better world. May she and Wayne again find their happiness together in the heavens without sadness or pain.
