Emily Jane Roberts Collins, 68, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 25, 2016.
Jane was born in Greenville, S.C. to the late Charles Franklin Roberts and Eleanor “Nell” Kathryn Parker Roberts. She graduated from Emmaus Bible College and Spartanburg County School of Nursing and was a member of Mauldin Church of God. Jane was a retired nurse that never lost her compassion for others.
Surviving are an aunt, Hazel Tesh Wilson and husband Joe; two nieces, CDR Shannon Rosamond VanMeter, US Navy, Ret., and husband CDR Mick VanMeter, US Navy, Ret., Tisha Rosamond; two great nieces Kaitlyn VanMeter Pollen and husband Jaimeson and Emily VanMeter; a great nephew, Jacob VanMeter; a great, great niece Arleigh Pollen; lifelong friends, Cara Barnette and Susan Vaughn; and her beloved poodles, BJ and Beau. She was predeceased by a sister, Dietra Rosamond; and lifelong friend, Irma Kay Gibson.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Mauldin Church of God, officiated by Rev. Bobby Johnson with visitation held one hour prior.
Memorials may be made to the Greenville Humane Society, 305 Airport Road Greenville, S.C. 29607.
