Obituary of Jimmy Carroll Leake

Jimmy Carroll Leake, 72, of Simpsonville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Mr. Leake was born in Greenville to the late James Carroll Leake and Frankie Ann Atkins Leake. He was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and retired from Duke Energy. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Simpsonville. In his retired years, Jimmy enjoyed fishing and finding sharks teeth. His favorite vacation time was spent on Amelia Island. He relished being “PaPa” to his grandchildren. Surviving, are his wife Gloria Jean Leake of 30 years; daughter, Adriane Rabren and husband Jimmy; a stepson, Steve Hoffman and wife Erin; and three grandchildren, Alexa Morgan, Andrew Hoffman and Ashley Hoffman. He was predeceased by a sister, Judy Leake Surratt. Graveside services, with Military Honors, will be 1 o’clock Saturday at Cannon Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor Dan Taylor.
