Norma Bell Singleton Hardy, 91, widow of Clyde Gary Hardy, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 1, 2021.
Mrs. Hardy was born in Pickens, SC to the late Clifton Earl Singleton and Julia Bell Billington Singleton. She was a former employee of the Greenville News. Norma currently served 59 years as the church secretary for Standing Springs Baptist Church and was a member of the Phebean Sunday School class.
Surviving are two sons, Norman Hardy and wife Darlene of Pelzer, SC, and Dale Hardy and wife Lori of El Segundo, CA; one daughter, Dawn Gray and husband Robert of Spring Branch, TX; one sister, Cliff Davis Myers of Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Miranda Hardy, Laci Hatley, Ryan Hardy, Noel Hardy, Sterling Gray, Hunter Gray, and Kevin Hardy; and eight great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Wanda Harrison and Reina Johnson, both of Greenville, SC.
A Going Home Celebration will be 2pm Thursday at Standing Springs Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Jordan Cobb and Rev. Chris Henderson. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Burial will follow at Greenville Memorial Gardens, Piedmont, SC.
