Obituary of Dennis Brian Helton

Dennis Brian Helton, 60, of Simpsonville went to meet Jesus on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at his home with his family by his side. Born December 6, 1960 in Greenville, SC, Mr. Helton was the son to the late Boyce Franklin Helton and Nancy Elizabeth Pittman Helton. Dennis was of the Baptist faith and was a pastor of East Georgia Road Baptist Church for 13 years. He also was employed by Home Depot of Greer for 10 years. As a graduate of Tabernacle Baptist Bible College, he loved the Lord and his life verse was Joshua 1:8. Surviving, in addition to his loving wife of 40 years, Carmen Renee Marlowe Helton; are three daughters, Heather R. Helton, Amber D. Helton, and Elizabeth G. Helton; two sisters, Sara F. Barrett and husband Terry, and Susan M. Bryant and husband Allen; two brothers, Leon B. Helton and Donnie Helton; and many wonderful in-laws, nieces, nephews and awesome friends. A Celebration of Dennis’ life will be at two o’clock Monday, March 22, 2021 at Fletcher Funeral Service. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2 p.m with burial to immediately follow the service at Cannon Memorial Park.
