Obituary of Dameion Keith Thames

Dameion Keith Thames, 49, husband of Melissa Howard Hyatt-Thames, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 24, 2021.
Mr. Thames was born in Greenville to Billy Wayne Thames and Paula Burton Thames. He was a member of His Vineyard Church and retired from the South Carolina Department of Corrections. Dameion was a graduate of the S.C. Police Academy and served as president of the Greenville County Fraternal Order of Police. He enjoyed roller-skating, camping, and video games. He was a member of the Carolina Challengers Car Club and a fan of UFC and boxing.
Surviving, in addition to his wife and parents, are three sons, Chase Hyatt (Brittany), Chandler Hyatt, and Cameron Thames; a daughter, Sydni Croy (Terra); two brothers, Bobby Thames and Eli Thames (Denise); and two sisters, Laurie Richey and Kristen Knight (Jeremy).
A Celebration of Dameion’s Life will be 6 o’clock Thursday at Fletcher Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Keith Kelly. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
