Obituary of Lloyd Alton Benner

Lloyd Alton Benner, 87, husband of Aleta Kirby Benner for 66 years, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. Mr. Benner was born in Franklinville, NC to the late Connie Edgar Benner and Nellie Jane Patterson Benner. Lloyd retired from Perrigo Company and was a member of Holly Ridge Baptist Church. He also served as a Mason with the Simpsonville Lodge #311. Lloyd enjoyed the outdoors, raising livestock and working in the garden. Surviving, in addition to his wife, is a son, David Benner and wife Allison; four grandchildren, Kirby Benner, Tyler Benner, Judy Benner and Lucy Benner. He was predeceased by a son, Gary Benner; four brothers, Sherman Benner, Claude Benner, John Benner and Raymond Benner; and three sisters, Geneva Tardy, Dorothy Curtis and Loretta McMaster. A Celebration of Lloyd’s Life will be 2:30pm Saturday at Holly Ridge Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Josh Culbertson and Rev. James Wiles. Burial will follow in Cannon-Byrd Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 Saturday at Holly Ridge Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Holly Ridge Building Fund, 260 Adams Mill Road, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
