Obituary of Remona Kem Medlin

Remona "Kem" Medlock Medlin, 61, wife of 27 years to James Bryant Medlin, Jr., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 1, 2021. Mrs. Medlin was born in Anderson, SC to the late James Weston Medlock and Bobbie Lindley Medlock. Kem enjoyed word puzzles, playing solitaire, and watching “Days Of Our Lives”. Most of all, Kem loved to cook and spend time with her family. Surviving, is a son, James “J.B.” Medlin III with fiancée, Brooke Mundy; two daughters, Lori Medlock and fiancé Rod Plack and Hope Therrien; two grandchildren, Melissa Medlock and Jason Setzer of the home and two sisters, Cindy Thompson of the home and Frankie Chapman of Honea Path; five grandchildren, Gabriel Plack, Kinya Medlin, Jace Medlin, Isabella Medlin and Alana Schermerhorn. She was predeceased by a sister, Connie Leopard. The family will receive friends 6-8pm Wednesday at Fletcher Funeral Service. Funeral services will be 2 o’clock Thursday at Columbia Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Travis Brooks and Rev. Dale Hart. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
