What sweet memories, Lisa! There have been so many times I've wished to go back there myself. You were truly like a sister to us! <3<3<3<3 Remember sleeping in the pop-up camper, walking beans, swimming (Your pool always seemed sooooo HUGE compared to ours and you had brothers!?), sorting popcorn, practicing my pitching a million times with me through the fence posts and twine? (You were the only one willing to catch for me when you were over since Amy and Liana had already done it on "all the other days"!?!) And you never shrunk back from my wild throws from the pitcher’s mound to first base. Our mama loved you dearly along with your mom and whole family. She adored having friends over and did seem to have an endless supply of wonderful crafts, music, food, games, and play/activity ideas no matter what age we were or who was visiting. And, I can still remember her saying, "Lisa is so very gentle and kind, Andrea. It would be a good idea to watch and learn how she does that." What amazed me though, was that you are also exceptionally strong, disciplined/hard working, brave, and graceful. My mother was very wise to point that out for me. I have drawn from your example many times in my life. What a treasure we had in each other growing up at home and church. We, like you, are looking forward with confidence to the day when we will be together again in Heaven because Mom trusted in Jesus alone for her salvation. My aunt used to say, "Won't Heaven be fun!?" Here's the link to the Billy Graham webpage about Salvation, if you'd like to share it. https://peacewithgod.net/ It is found under the “Grow Your Faith” tab at billygraham.org John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” Thanks for your prayers and thoughts. We are grateful for friends like you at this bittersweet time. (I love this pic of my mom and sisters.)

I have many fond memories of Judy as a very loving & lovely lady, but what I remember most is how she loved & cared for her family. As a girl, with all brothers, I loved going to my best friends house to play and be showered in the joys of sisterhood. While I was there I witnessed a mother who truly loved Jesus! She recognized her inadequacies, although I could see none, & brought them to Jesus. She rejoiced over the words of Jesus & His promises & sang praises continually to Him. All the while teaching by example these things to her girls & others. This picture reminds me of the joy she brought to our lives in so many ways as she joyously taught us girls how to keep a home (making a farmhouse elegant), sew beautiful clothes (Judy, with help from the girls & maybe her mom made the 2 dresses), bake delicious food (see the cake & cupcakes), make homemade yogurt, breads & home canning from her garden, make arts & crafts. She knew so many herbs & plants & how to start & grow them. She taught us how to make just about anything fun & we all laughed so much. The first time I ever had warm goats milk was when she rose early & had been stirring it in a huge pot on the stove before church so we could have milk to drink. I never realized how much mother's gave of themselves until I became a mother. She gave so sacrificially of herself & her time & with such joy. She taught her girls, who also taught me, to be kind to everyone, to be dedicated to the Lord, a hard worker, to be frugal, to be joyful, to sing & develop your talents for the Lord, to encourage one another, to be a good friend, to never give up & to pray about everything without doubting, with a thankful heart, continually, knowing God hears our cries & knows everything. She often spoke of heaven & what a glorious place it will be. She lived in light of eternity. She passed on the joy & love of Jesus to everyone who knew her thru her words, actions & songs. She had a way of making you feel genuinely loved! We will miss you, Judy, till we see you again on our glorious arrival to our eternal home. I am so glad we are all part of God's family!

Thank you Lisa for sharing your thoughts. It has been a blessing that our families have been tied together through our Savior. I have always treasured that.
