Rachael was a fantastic cook. My first french fries ever she cooked. ( No McDonalds )Fried in pure lard. Excellent.
She made us 4 homemade donuts, so we would only eat 2 . She knew I would eat more.
She baked cakes. She would mix the batter so creamy. I just had to taste of it. I put my finger in just for a taste. She , Says your eating raw eggs. My stomach did flip-flops. To this day I do not taste the batter.
Now we did cook ( Rachael ) we cleaned the kitchen and had our chores done before our mothers came home.
Life is Memories.

I sent it, Rachael is my 1st cousin. I love her dearly and she ia missed. I will always feel her loss.
Rachael came by Hillcrest Hospital to visit me after giving birth to my son Michael Sanders.
She was so happy to tell me she was pregnant with Sherry.
A sweet memory. She was so happy.
Where do you start. We always lived close by.
After School I couldn'd wait to spent time with her. Each of us had chores to do we couldn't visit until they were done. I would finish mine and go help her finish hers. She cooked, cleaned, ironed, 6 children anything that had to be done. Old school she was the oldest she took care of family. I did to till mom came home from work.
We enjoyed dancing. We enjoyed, American Bandstand. We danced every chance we got.
Great Southern Babtist did not believe in dancing. So we never went back after babtist.
We danced holding on a door knob when we could not be together. We loved fashion magazines. We would see a style.
Rachael would say , Jane you could do this for me. Yes I would say, its so short ? I will love it she would reply. Her hair was perfect. Just enough natural curl to monipulate into any style
A celebration of her life for sure. She made my life happy. I would say Rachael, tell me a joke. " White horse fell in the mud. " Just silly fun. She was tell a story teller naturally she could make me laugh to tears.
We mimicked
Red Skelton. We would see skits and show our parents what we'd practiced. Of course they thought we were talented.
I was the instagator a lot of times. Whatever, she was willing to do with me. Her family lived in a 2 story house. Some reason I thought we could just jump out her window, in the dark. We did.
Wonder why my back is bad ? ...lol
Her dad bought a brand new ford falcon. Rachael says whatch this. She would pull off to the side of the road pull the gear stick to g3 floor it, sqeeling tires burning rubber leaving black marks in the road. Last time I talked to her I told her I thought of us. We reminished and laughed.
Rachael wore out a set of tires in a month. Her dad said the tires are worn out in a month and I think I know who did it lookin at Rachael. Scared me. You did not mention me.? I did not do it but I encouraged her.
We were allowed to ride and we stopped at a grocery store and asked for 35 cents worth of gas. The attentant asked if we needed a road map. We thought it was hallarious...
I would stay over at times. Hot no air conditioning. She would put our sheets in the freezer and keep us cool a while.
Omy gosh

Her family lived in a 2 story house. Some reason I thought we could just jump out her window, in the dark. We did.
I wanted to add. We were so energetic. We jumped out of hay lofts. Jumped off bridges with only inches of water. We loved the Challenge She and I thought we were invinsible. So much fun, happiness. Thats way Life Should and I believe thats Gods intention.
I am so gratefull to have had phone time with her before she passed.

I remember one time when I stayed the night with Ashley and Carly at Aunt Rachel's house and that morning for breaks she cooked us some sausage. It smelt so good and I couldnt wait to eat it. She finished cooking and put all that sausage in a bowl then poured black coffee in the bowl! I had never seen anyone do that but it was kinda good. Then later that day we all went to the Haven of Rest.

You live and you die, but it's the in-between part that's important. Aunt Rachel you left a lot of memories for our in between part. You will forever be missed and always thought of, we carry you in our heart forever.
