Dear Mike, Sonya and Christian, we are so sorry we can't be with you today to celebrate Caleb's fabulous life. We are in Charleston with our daughter who is due to give birth any time now. We know this will be truly a celebration for one of God's most special angels who ever walked the earth. Never has anyone had a more pure and loving heart. We will always remember him fondly and with a smile. Both John Griffin and Lauren were very sad to hear of Caleb's death and send their love as well. We know he is all around you and will watch over all of you until you meet again. If you are videoing the service and would be willing to share it I know there are many of us who would love to see it. I am having a mass said in his honor. I hope this will bring you some peace.

We met Caleb & the family out on the lake. He was a sweet person all the way around & would just message you out of no where saying he loved you. He will be missed!

Q: How did you meet Caleb?
A: He was a few days old in MUSC hospital. A moment I will never forget. God was there. He gave us 26 years with this young man. He was too good for this world. We will never forget sweet KK. Rest in peace Caleb.

Caleb “KK” Kennedy is someone who cannot be boxed in and described by words, it’s impossible. God created Caleb to be an angel walking amongst us here on earth and that’s exactly what he did. He taught you to be kind, to love God, reminded you what is important in life, and how to live it to the fullest. All of this was done by him simply being him. The one thing I have seen in only Caleb Kennedy during my life time is pure and genuine love. He loved everyone endlessly and fully no matter who you are or what you’ve done and you could feel it.
There is not one memory I could place above others as all of my memories are of high value when it comes to my best friend. His laughs, hugs, side comments only you are suppose to hear, text messages, and presence brings a happiness like no other. I will continue to try and be the best version of myself I can and let others know how loved there are for him.
Caleb, I will not and do not fear the day that I get to run and hug you again. I love you.

Caleb reached out to me several times after my son Carson died in 2018. Caleb did not know me but he wanted me to know how much he loved and missed Carson and that he was praying for me. Pure sweetness from a beautiful soul. That’s your boy.

Q: How would you describe Caleb to someone who had never met them?
A: Meeting and being friends with Caleb was angelic, he always shared his love, his hugs and his incredibly sweet smile. I can only find comfort in knowing, that now, not only have I met an angel but, I have an angel watching over his family and all his friends. Your beautiful loving and caring soul touched so many people- simply by being you, enjoying everyday and everyone; like so many paths you crossed, you left us with impression of a better life, make sure to give God a high five, my friend, you made every minute of your life worthwhile!

We are deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Caleb. We had the privilege of meeting you all at some recent wrestling events in Greenville. We didn’t get to spend too much time together, but growing up with Christian provided me opportunities to know him, and his joy was absolutely contagious. My angel KK, it is so hard to wrap my head around this. i never thought i would have to live a life without you in it. We watched each other grow up and for that i am so thankful. 19 years was not enough, and honestly i don’t think 1 billion years would be enough. i am so lucky that i was able to get that time with you and i thank God everyday for having the ability to know and love you. Like I’ve said before, Caleb was Parisview Baptist Church baby. All you had to do was look at him to fall in love. We should all strive to be like him. People will say, and I admit before I lost my Jodah I said this, too, that he is in a better place and wouldn’t come back, etc. Maybe so, but we sure would take them back if we could! KK, my sweetest friend, and strongest believer. I am so blessed to have been apart of his life for over 20 years. I don’t know if it’s possible to pinpoint one memory alone with him to be named favorite. I sure did love to laugh with him every time I saw him. Playing wrestlers in the lake house, and him attempting to teach me something on his gaming system, even if I was not a great student. Riding on the intertube, playing in the sand or on the boat, chicken tenders at the boat club, and so much more in between. Sonya, Mike, and Christian, I have loved every moment I’ve been able to spend with your entire family. Thank you for how welcoming and loving you have always been. I am praying for your peace and solace during this time. I love you all.

Sweet KK! I was honored to know Caleb for the last 7.5 years. He was a pure joy to know. We shared a Jesus bond for sure that made us special friends. He would send me messenger encouragement and love and also by texts. I smile looking back on them. These two pics were from a day on the island at Hartwell. He had just met some of my group of girlfriends and he was doing a dance at the front of our boat. I wish i had videoed. He was honoring his friend Scott Batson by dancing with his hat to one of Scotts favorite tunes. It was precious. I have many other pics on my phone of Rusty and I slinging and pulling Caleb, Eliza Reid and Molly Brooks on the Tube across the lake and watching them laugh and scream together was always so memorable. I miss and will continue to miss that sweet smile, hugs and my cherished talks and prayers with this earth angel. I thank God for blessing the earth with Caleb the angel. Love and prayers to Mike, Sonya, Christian and all the family. ❤️

Caleb, still trying to wrap my head around this thing. Haven't gotten a text or SNAP from you for 2 weeks now. Starting to set in that things have changed forever. Well, 26 years ago things changed and the world got better because of YOU. You healed so many hearts, and the whole time your little heart was struggling. Thats a testimate of your love for GOD & everyone you knew unselfishly. You were my go to guy, my Champ, My Rock Star (Hillbilly). Knowing you are comfortable and healed forever warms my heart. I must say I never knew Caleb personally but you really didn’t need to because you knew Caleb through that smile he always had as well as the goodness in his heart for others that you could see shining within him. They say it’s not how you ended your life but how you lived your life from baby to adult and Caleb did it well. I can promise you that God met Caleb at the book of life and said job well done my good and faithful son you may enter the gates of heaven. This is what keeps EVERYONE going by knowing being a believer yourself Caleb will meet you at the gate with his big smile and shining heart. I am sorry
You have that void here on earth for a while but try to live the way Caleb would want you to with a smile, and to tell others what God can do for them just like he did for Caleb for 26 years. I love you all and I thank Caleb for putting a smile on my face just by seeing his love and Grace included in his being.
