Obituary of Caleb Kennedy

Please share a memory of Caleb to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Matthew Caleb Kennedy, 26, son of Michael Kennedy and Sonya Stepp Kennedy, went to be in the arms of Jesus,  surrounded by many of his loved ones at MUSC in Charleston, South Carolina on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.

Caleb was born in Greenville, the youngest son of Mike and Sonya.  He  loved Jesus and everyone he knows with all his heart.  He was the brightest light in this world and joy flowed from within him.

Caleb loved pro wrestling and NASCAR and  was a huge Kyle Larson fan.  He was a Clemson tiger fan for his mom and big brother and a Georgia bulldog fan for his daddy. He loved to fish and ride his golf cart through the neighborhood and sing and wave to the neighbors. He loved all animals, especially his dog Cabo and Christian‘s dog Kilo.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his big brother, Christian Kennedy and his girlfriend Téa ; A maternal grandmother, Linda Stepp; his Aunt Janean Weaver, his aunt Michelle Thompson and husband Shane, his uncle Austin and wife Cathy, his uncle James and wife Jenna, his uncle Brian and wife Ty; eleven cousins, Baylee Weaver, Brian Miller, Alex Thompson and wife Lyndsey, Jake Miller, Jessica Gillespie and husband Derek, Jay Livingston, Thomas Livingston, Savannah Livingston, Janie Livingston, Charlotte Livingston, and Trinity Bracken, and seven little cousins that he was a big uncle to Maybree, Whitley, Hadley, Jaxon, Coleman, Ellie and Cash.  And a countless number of friends who were his family.

Caleb was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Morris “Stobo” Stepp and his paternal grandmother, Mary Helen Livingston.

A celebration of Caleb’s beautiful life has been delayed and a new day/date will be announced soon.

Memorials may be made to the Meyer Center For Special Children, 1132 Rutherford Road, Greenville, SC 29609.
