Chadwick “Chad” Thomas Tolbert, 35, of Simpsonville, passed away on Saturday June 2, 2018. Born in Greenville on November 23, 1982, he was the son of Tim Tolbert and Robin Long and the husband of Laurie D. Tolbert. Chad loved making people smile and was always the life of the party. He was famous for his various “side hustles”, and spent much of his time buying and selling the contents of storage units. He enjoyed shooting pool, camping, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his father, Tim Tolbert (Khristina); his mother, Robin Long; his biological father, Charles Rumfelt; a son, Landen Tolbert; step-daughter, Amyah Bowman; brothers, Tyler Tolbert and Daniel Rumfelt; a sister, Tobie McKittrick; maternal grandparents, Linda and Doug Stegall; paternal grandparents, Betty and Joe Justus; aunts, Amy Baker (Tim) and Fredda Green (David); an uncle, Jimmy Tolbert (Brenda); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Myrtle “MaMyrt” Coker and his paternal grandmother, Mary Rumfelt.

The funeral service for Mr. Tolbert will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Fletcher Funeral Service. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 1:00pm.
