Obituary of John Andrew Stafford, Jr

John Andrew Stafford Jr., 65, husband of Marcia Higgins Stafford, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 7, 2021, while surrounded by his loving wife and children. John, was born on August 30th, 1955 in Greenville, SC to the late John Andrew Stafford, Sr. and Cynthia Faye Friddle Stafford. He attended First Baptist Simpsonville Church and worked at H2L Consulting Engineers in Greenville. John was an exceptional bowler with five 300 games. He also loved to golf, shoot pool, and watch Clemson football. He enjoyed going on family trips to Gatlinburg, TN and he loved a good cold Pepsi with crushed ice. His greatest love of all was spending time with his children and grandchildren. Surviving in addition to his wife, are his son John Andrew Stafford, III "Drew", and daughters, Erin Brooke Eyster (Jake), and Molly Meek (Matt); Four grand children, Landen Eyster, Maddie Eyster, Baylie Grace Meek, and Colton Meek. John is also survived by three loving sisters, Andrea Fine, Becky Orders, and Vicki Reid along with many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of life will be held 3pm Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Simpsonville First Baptist Church- 3 Hedge Street Simpsonville, SC 29681. The family will be at the home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
